Where to find a recycling center in Springfield mhaase

City-operated Recycling Centers and Yardwaste Recycling Center announce extended spring/summer schedule

The city of Springfield's recycling centers and yard waste recycling center will begin their extended spring/summer schedule beginning in April.

They are:

  • The Franklin Avenue Recycling Center, which accepts aluminum, glass, cardboard, mixed paper, mixed plastics, tin, and limited amounts of yard waste, will be open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. (April 1-Nov. 4). This location is not open on Sundays.

  • The Lone Pine Avenue Recycling Center, which accepts aluminum, glass, cardboard, mixed paper, mixed plastics, tin, and limited amounts of yard waste will be open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., (April 1-Nov. 4) and Sundays 1-5 p.m. on April 6, April 13, April 27, May 4, May 11 and May 18. The center is closed Easter Sunday, April 20.

  • The Yardwaste Recycling Center, which accepts yard waste, brush, aluminum, glass, cardboard, mixed paper, mixed plastics and tin, will be open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., (April 1-Nov. 4) and Sundays 1-5 p.m. on April 6, April 13, April 27, May 4, May 11 and May 18. The center is closed Easter Sunday, April 20.
