Killing a bear with kindness staff

The 250-pound healthy adult male black bear was euthanized, according to a statement by the Missouri Department of Conservation made on July 20, 2015. Previously fed by other people, the bear became a nuisance and a threat to several homeowners in Christian County. The message the department wants to convey is, "Do not feed bears!" Once fed, a bear can no longer live in the wild. [H-m-m, was he too common to live in a zoo?]
